There are 13 overnight camping areas authorised by the Island Council within Tenerife’s protected natural areas.

They are marked, open-air spaces where it is permitted to spend a maximum of 7 consecutive days, with a tent, or in some cases a caravan, campervan or adapted vehicle.

It is free to use these camping areas if permission is requested a maximum of 15 days in advance.

They are free to use from Monday to Friday, except on public holidays, for educational/environmental activities and for leisure purposes by organised groups (organisations, associations, schools, companies, etc.), subject to prior authorisation, which must be requested a maximum of 90 days in advance.

For different activities (cultural, artistic, sports, religious, political, etc.) or if taking place on weekends or public holidays, it is necessary to make a reservation via the Tenerife Island Council, either in person or electronically.
